After several weeks of daily play, I can honestly say these walkie talkies have been a big hit and are used far more than expected.I bought these for kids to use during outdoor play, backyard games, and indoor pretend adventures, hoping to encourage communication and imaginative play without screens.The packaging was sturdy and kid-friendly. Setup was simple—batteries installed easily, channels synced quickly, and the buttons were intuitive. The size is lightweight and comfortable for small hands, and the backlit screen is easy to read.The sound quality is clear for kids, with minimal static during normal use.The range works well for backyard play, indoor rooms, and neighborhood games.Extra features like the flashlight and multiple channels add to the fun without being confusing.What Could Be Better:The advertised long-range works best in open areas; indoors or around buildings, the range is more limited—which is expected but worth noting.This is best for kids ages 3–12 who enjoy imaginative, active play. Families looking for professional-grade or long-distance radios may want a different option.Tip: Set both walkie talkies to the same channel and lock it in before playtime to avoid accidental button changes.Overall, these are reliable, easy-to-use walkie talkies that encourage creativity, movement, and teamwork. This was the third result that showed up when I searched for rechargeable walkie talkies. They are NOT rechargeable. That was my bad for not researching further but I was in a hurry and this item had a lot of positive reviews and would deliver by Christmas so I just went with it. I’m not basing my review on my failure to thoroughly read through the product description though as it does clearly state that these require batteries.The product pictures are inaccurate in my opinion. The screen is not backlit blue as shown in the pictures, it’s green. Minor detail but still an inaccuracy and I would have preferred blue. These seem to work well but I think they’re a little advanced for toddlers to figure out on their own. I would say these would be best suited for someone 5 and up but that’s just my opinion. Once an adult initially sets them up I think toddlers can use them but hopefully they don’t mess with the buttons and change channels because in our experience it’s been very easy to pick up other conversations on many of the channels. A private channel only for these two devices. It would be a really nice feature so you don’t have to worry about picking up other conversations. I also wish it would be easier to scan channels and have the walkie talkies automatically “pair” on a channel with an option to override it if needed. Currently they just keep scrolling through the channels endlessly until you stop it.I would have preferred the talk button to be on the side of the unit like a traditional walkie talkie because it would be less likely that kids would accidentally hit other buttons on the front when trying to use it and potentially totally change channels. This happened with ours and my toddler heard someone else talking and freaked out so she dropped it and hasn’t touched it since. There was also a frequency that was playing Christmas music continuously which was a little odd. I wish there was a way for the walkie talkies to scan to find a channel that’s not being used by anyone else but not sure that’s even possible and probably not at this price point. Another feature I wish these had was an automatic shut off if the walkie talkie is inactive for a certain period of time. This would be a nice feature to make configurable within the settings. Allow the user to pick the duration, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, etc. kind of like a TV sleep timer. This would help conserve battery life since these aren’t rechargeable. I did notice that the backlit display turns off if a button isn’t pressed for a while. This would also be a nice configurable option to choose to keep it on all the time or have it turn off if inactive for 30 seconds or whatever predetermined amount of time. We haven’t used these very long so I can’t comment on longevity, durability or how long the batteries last. I will say that the pink set is really cute and the flashlight is a nice feature. Depending on battery life, I may be looking to replace these with a rechargeable version which is what I originally wanted.

Thes are super cute and wre a big hit with my kiddos. The only setback is NO BATTERIES were included and thank goodness I had a lot because each one takes 4 batteries, so you need 8 batterieds... Worked great and they loved them

These walkie talkies are so impressive! My kids can hear each other clear as day and we have 2 acres! The range is super impressive! Very clear when talking, no static issues at all! Definitely recommend! Great quality as well! 10/10 for kids walkie talkies!

Great quality well made and good reception. Smaller than I expected but that’s my fault for not reading the measurements. Definitely not for toddlers as it states in description. Too complicated to operate for a child. Will hold onto them until he’s older.

Hit of the day for the 5 year old and 2 year old and Grandpa! Grandpa figured out the details and the fun began. Note: requires 8 AAA batteries—which was a hard detail to find out until the present was unwrapped.

We purchased these for our nephews, and they were so excited to use their new Walkie Talkies! They seem like good quality, vibrant colors, and so much fun for kids!

Seems like a good toy for young children

powerful walkie talkies. unfortunately I wouldn't let my kids use them because you can connect to other channels with strangers.we actually were able to connect to a local restaurants channel about a mile away hahaha. I would say not suitable for kids under 10 but they are great quality for the price.
